Summer InnSitter needed in Vancouver, BC (June 30-Labour Day): We are looking for a professional summer InnKeeper (or couple) to run our business while we take the summer off with our children. We have 5 rooms at Granville House B&B, plus a self catered property nearby (Hycroft Suites, 4 suites, www.hycroft.com) which our InnKeepers manage the staff for their change overs/linens and dropping off and picking up the signed check in receipts. We offer a buffet style breakfast between 8:30-10am each day (our guests can also partake in a continental breakfast from 5am, supplies are stocked in the breakfast area for that). The InnKeepers personal space is 3000sf and is completely separate from the guest area. We are located in the beautiful Shaughnessy area of Vancouver, right behind Van Dusen Gardens.

Innkeeper Wanted: We are a modern five-room bed and breakfast located near Newberg, Oregon. Newberg is a gateway to the growing wine industry in the Willamette Valley and most of our guests come to the area to visit wineries. We are looking for the right individual to fill a newly-created, year-round, full time innkeeper position. The ideal individual should love to cook and bake, love to help guests enjoy their time in wine country, be hardworking, self-motivated, detail-oriented and a problem-solver. Knowledge about the local wine industry is a plus but not required.

Job Description: The workweek consists of five 6:30am-2:30pm work days. During the busy season (roughly April through October), we expect the schedule will consist of the same five days of the week, but will likely include at least one weekend day. During off the offseason, the schedule will have more variability based on day-to-day occupancy.

The position includes making and serving gourmet breakfast for up to 10 people, breakfast cleanup, maintaining the common areas in the reception area, guest relations, coordinating tasks with the housekeeper, turn an occasional room, refresh rooms occasionally, answer emails and phone calls, help guests with area information, and helping the housekeeper with laundry. Additional tasks may include: pitching in on gardening, light maintenance, marketing outreach, and setting up new packages.
